How can you increase horsepower through a more efficient and better designed dAHLer performance exhaust system for BMW, BMW M, BMW Plug-in Hybrid and BMW Mild Hybrid cars?
So, basically the engineering thought process that goes into designing a dAHLer performance exhaust system or performance muffler for BMW, BMW M, BMW Plug-in Hybrid and BMW Mild Hybrid cars, and how possibly switching out your exhaust for a dAHLer one could increase your horsepower.
First up, being removing restrictions. In a typical exhaust you may have a stock BMW catalytic converter or some little kinks where it tapers down on where the exhaust gets smaller or may have a pretty narrow stock BMW exhaust.
So, what happens in your BMW, BMW M, BMW Plug-in Hybrid and BMW Mild Hybrid engine is when your piston is pushing up and you’ve got a stock catalytic converter or stock exhaust system, you’re BMW, BMW M, BMW Plug-in Hybrid and BMW Mild Hybrid engine is going to build up a pressure before it and that built up pressure is going to travel all the way back to your cylinder.
So, as your cylinder is pressing up the only time it can push out exhausts is when the pressure in there is greater than the pressure out there. Once that occurs then it can push it out. But basically, you want to minimize the pressure in there, so that it is as easy as possible to push out those gasses and with something like a really narrow exhaust you just might be able to pump out very little.
Your stock exhaust creates a ton of back pressure and by removing that back pressure you are then allowing your BMW, BMW M, BMW Plug-in Hybrid and BMW Mild Hybrid car engine to be more efficient and it’s going to have more horsepower because it doesn’t have to work against itself just to get rid of the burnt gasses.
With a dAHLer valve-controlled performance exhaust system for BMW and BMW M cars you will get rid of high back pressures created by the stock exhaust and allow your BMW, BMW M, BMW Plug-in Hybrid and BMW Mild Hybrid engine to release more horsepower.
